Place Explorer Board
In January 2013 I graduated from the IT University of Copenhagen. I received an A (12) for my Master's thesis.
I wrote my thesis in cooperation with Copenhagen Citizen Service who was planning to put up interactive public displays in urban space. During the work with my thesis, I conducted a qualitative study comprising interviews with citizens aimed at understanding their experiences of a specific place, their placemaking and the context in which a public display will be emplaced.
I used the data from the field study to create the model Place Explorer Board which offers a systematic approach to exploring the design space as well as facilitating a reflective dialogue on different content types for public displays.
